Client Name

The Home Depot

Location

Multiple locations throughout northern CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, SD, NV, CO, WY, and UT.

Size

8-12 acre sites

Galloway has provided development services to The Home Depot, including civil engineering design services for projects throughout the western and northwestern United States.

Sites utilized by The Home Depot for stand-alone stores range from 8 to 12 acres; consequently water quality was often a major design consideration within the development and for the municipality.

Frequently land costs and size constraints dictate the use of flow-based pretreatment facilities such as Stormceptor and Baysaver systems. These systems effectively pretreat water by containing harmful pollutants within the system, and they reduce the amount of land area that is needed by traditional holding time/volume based alternatives.

Galloway has successfully designed and implemented numerous systems for The Home Depot, using local hydrology for the given area and receiving-stream sensitivity to determine the appropriate size of Stormceptor or Baysaver.
