Nature’s Educators, the largest wildlife outreach organization in Colorado, is moving its headquarters from Sedalia, CO, to an 8.58-acre site in Florence, CO. The headquarters will be a multi-use facility with on-site programming, outreach programming, a wildlife amphitheater, public aviary displays, walking trails, riparian habitats, wildlife rehab facilities, and a biomes immersion experience.
This is a three-phase project with estimated completion in winter 2024. The first and third phases include buildings for housing and rehabilitating birds of prey. They will also have staff workspaces and areas for food storage and preparation. The second phase consists of the amphitheater and three free-standing outdoor aviaries. Overall landscape enhancements and on-site drainage improvements will be made and incorporate numerous walking trails. Galloway’s design services include civil engineering and landscape architecture services.
