52 acres | 350,000 sf
Weber School District‘s newest high school in Taylor, Utah, will soon serve western Weber County’s rapidly growing population.
The new 350,000 sf West Field High School is scheduled to be open in time for the 2024-2025 school year, and the campus will include the main building, sports fields, associated accessory structures, and parking.
Galloway provided civil engineering and survey services, including site demolition plans, site grading, and utility and drainage design. The 52-acre undeveloped site is primarily agricultural, requiring the Galloway team to remain highly coordinated in their efforts and solutions. Due to the site location, our team designed around the area’s high-water areas and developed drainage solutions to reduce adverse impacts on utility and foundation construction.
We worked closely with the local farmers, Weber County, and Hooper Irrigation District to prevent interruptions to irrigation schedules. Galloway also worked with the county and utility companies throughout design and construction to coordinate the offsite utility design.
