Murphy Oil USA, Inc.
National standards program with locations in 28 states
0.75-1.5 acres | 200 sf kiosk – 2,800 sf convenience
Since 2009, Galloway has maintained the national fueling design and photometrics standards for Murphy’s nationwide program and has completed more than 1,000 projects. Additionally, Galloway supports their regional efforts by providing civil engineering, development services, landscape architecture, and surveying for Murphy Express and Murphy USA fueling facilities.
Originally just 200-square-foot fuel kiosks in Walmart parking lots, a typical Murphy Oil USA site now includes an approximately 2,800-square-foot pre-manufactured convenience store and a fueling canopy with six to eight multi-pump dispensers that serve two fueling stalls. Sites also typically include appurtenances such as parking, trash enclosures, ATMs, vacuums, and ice and propane vending stations.
Galloway’s land development scope includes site surveys, site layout, drainage design, modeling, reporting, utility layout, erosion control design, and various details. Our civil team works closely with the fueling team to locate underground storage tanks for fuel dispensing, requiring specific coordination to avoid conflicts between underground civil and fueling facilities. The experience and knowledge of our development services team in the permitting and entitlement process ensure the project maintains constant momentum through the approval and construction phases.
