Rendering of the Cottonwood Travel Center outside of Redding, California

Client Name

Dreyfuss Capital Partners

Location

Redding, California

Completion Date

Fall 2025

Size

29 acres

Located south of Redding, California, along Interstate 5, Cottonwood Travel Center will provide a variety of amenities to the traveling public and commercial truckers. The travel center will have high-speed EV charging stations for trucks and passenger vehicles to support the nationwide transition of trucking fleets to electric vehicles (EV). Traditional fueling pumps and high-speed diesel fueling will also be available. All charging and fueling stations, as well as the buildings, will have solar panel canopies.

This 29-acre site will include a market store, a full-service restaurant, two additional restaurant pad sites for quick service or fast food, a standalone building for restrooms, and dedicated RV parking. Amenities for truckers include showers, a truck repair area, and a CAT scale for weighing trucks.

Unique for this project size, the whole site is on well water and septic. The site plan also includes sound walls on the north and east sides due to the proximity of single-family housing.

Our design team is providing architectural, civil engineering, site development, fueling design, /electrical/plumbing engineering, landscape architecture, planning, and site lighting services.

Construction is estimated to be completed in October 2025.
