Tesla’s second Utah dealership, a 34,000 sf building located on 3.77 acres in Pleasant Grove, is an exciting addition for the city of Pleasant Grove.
Galloway provided civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services for the Tesla site in conjunction with an adjacent site as part of the master design. Galloway also assisted Drake Real Estate Services through the rezoning and entitlement processes and provided representation at city council meetings and architecture review committees.
Galloway’s team provided design solutions that integrated with the entire master-planned site. They worked with the city of Pleasant Grove, the Timpanogos Special Service District, and a local irrigation ditch company to create offsite storm drains within the existing infrastructure. A thorough analysis of the irrigation system and investigation of existing pipes was conducted to ensure functionality and make design decisions to minimize impacts.
Additional design considerations included determining roadway rights-of-way and designing a detention pond to service the dealership site and extended development area. During construction staking, Galloway’s team also assisted the owner in assessing construction solutions in real-time to resolve issues discovered while staking.
