Starbucks

The Starbucks Oviedo location involved the demolition of an existing bank and construction of a new Starbucks with drive-thru service and outdoor seating. Our team provided civil engineering design and permitting services. All site design and utility services, including water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and electrical, were completed within an existing, fully operational shopping center, requiring careful phasing to avoid disruption to surrounding businesses.

Our team conducted site due diligence and code research to identify constraints and development challenges, and coordinated survey and geotechnical reports, participated in pre-application meetings, and worked closely with the client and Starbucks to develop a site plan aligned with zoning requirements and brand standards.

We prepared full construction drawings, including demolition, site layout, utilities, grading and drainage, erosion control, and details, and coordinated with the project’s design consultants while managing permitting through the appropriate jurisdictional agencies from submittal through final approvals.

During construction, we reviewed shop drawings, attended pre-construction meetings, coordinated electrical service, and responded to RFIs in a timely manner. At project completion, we reviewed as-built surveys and provided final certifications required for jurisdictional close-out.
