13,500 sf | 7.5 acres
Christian Brothers Automotive is relocating its headquarters to a 7.5-acre campus in the Katy Main street area of Katy, Texas. The campus includes a 13,500sf state-of-the-art training and technology center to provide training for technicians and service advisors across the country under one roof.
The facility is thoughtfully designed to foster the development of skilled automotive professionals in a highly functional and efficient facility. The building features three training rooms, a training garage, and utility spaces. The amenity spaces include a media room to record podcasts and commercials, and an open lounge area with ample catering and coffee bar space.
The primary entrance serves as a focal point, welcoming visitors with exterior glazing in an aluminum storefront system and dark metal canopy overhangs, accented by a striking copper-colored soffit.
The exterior emphasizes simplicity, balancing aesthetics and functionality. It complements neighboring buildings along the main street corridor through shared design elements. Bold, dark-colored insulated architectural metal panels create a strong visual contrast and clean lines with light grey masonry, contributing to a modern, timeless aesthetic. These materials also ensure durability and long-term performance. Metal standing seam roof panels were selected for their longevity and minimal maintenance requirements.
To maintain visual consistency, concrete masonry unit (CMU) screen walls conceal the mechanical yards—blending seamlessly with the CMU veneer exterior. Additionally, the overhead garage door is integrated into the surrounding metal panels for a unified appearance.
