Waterway Gas & Wash

Waterway Gas & Wash is situated on an approximately one-acre pad site within a larger, master-planned retail development. The site includes a single-bay drag-through tunnel wash, a vehicle-detailing area, a 5,400 sf convenience store, and six fuel dispensers with an overhead canopy.

Galloway’s site design successfully addressed the wash bay vehicle stacking needs as well as the onsite traffic flow associated with the convenience store and fuel islands while recognizing the overall retail center’s traffic patterns.

Exterior project lighting was a particularly sensitive issue on this project, and Galloway’s knowledge of lighting concepts, technologies, and regulations resulted in a successful lighting design for this facility. Working closely with the client, lighting manufacturers, and the local review agency and their lighting consultant, Galloway was able to design and permit an exterior lighting program that met the client’s goals of adequate onsite light levels for safety and marketing needs while satisfying the strict local lighting restrictions.
