Fort Carson Family Homes (FCFH) is an on-base residential community for active-duty Army families located on the Fort Carson base in Colorado, and is comprised of 16 distinct neighborhoods. Arapahoe Village is a new neighborhood within FCFH to replace inefficient, 70-year-old housing and brings more than 200 new high-quality homes to the base. These new homes will offer modern living spaces, cater to the needs of military families, and have a reduced environmental impact.

The existing houses from the 1960s were demolished, and the 58 quad townhomes will feature three- and four-bedroom layouts, with one-car garages. Two of the homes will be accessible housing units. Additionally, residents will enjoy an open-concept floor plan, plank flooring, energy-efficient appliances, and EV charging infrastructure.

Despite the project being put on hold for more than two years due to COVID-19, Galloway successfully worked closely with the client, civil engineers, consulting structural and MEP engineers, and the Department of the Army to provide fully-coordinated design, construction documents, and construction phase services.

Galloway is providing architectural design and construction administration services for this vital project. Construction of the first phase of this multi-phase project began in August 2024.
