Washington County Solid Waste Transfer Center

The Washington County Solid Waste landfill manages solid waste services for the Washington County residents and commercial entities, including services for sanitary landfill, recycling sites, household electronics, household hazardous waste collection programs, composting programs, paint exchange programs, and tire recycling programs. With the growth in the County at a record high, efficiency in and out of the landfill has become a high priority.

Galloway was selected to provide architectural design, land survey, MEP engineering, and interior design services. We worked with the District to design a new administration building and a scale house on their current landfill site. Drone/UAS technology was used to collect survey data for the design. The new buildings and public convenience center design create safer and more efficient traffic flow and access throughout the site.

The estimated completion is July 2024.
