Springville City, also known as the Art City, needed a new civic center to replace its overcrowded 40-year-old facilities. The City engaged Galloway to provide a master plan, architectural design, interior design, and landscape architecture services for a new civic center that would serve as a gathering place and the services needs for the community.

In collaboration with city officials, community members, and elected representatives, Galloway designed a civic campus that embraced the City’s historic character while meeting the contemporary needs of the community. The civic center includes the city hall, community meeting spaces, justice courts, police facilities, and an emergency communication center.

Galloway also worked with the City staff and community stakeholders to preserve the surrounding park-like setting for the new facilities. The design of the new complex included several dedicated trees, statues, and monuments on the site and also created a community gathering space.
