The newly incorporated Holladay City needed a city center to accommodate its municipal services and meet its functional requirements. To maintain a historical piece of the City, the former Holladay Elementary School was selected to become the new municipal center.
Galloway worked with elected officials, city staff, and citizens through programming and design workshops to create a final design that met the City’s functional requirements, reinforced the community gathering place and city center, and was budget-sensitive.
This award-winning facility is more than just a building. It’s a unique hub that centralizes many critical municipal services, creating a vibrant urban core and a defined gathering area. The design, both functional and aesthetically pleasing, significantly enhances the City’s landscape.
The facility serves the following functions: city administration, city hall, police department, justice courts, emergency services, large community assembly spaces, and exhibit and display areas.
Galloway provided architectural and interior design services for the renovation of the new Holladay Municipal Center.
