Extra Space Storage – Pinellas Park

Galloway is providing architectural design, MEP engineering, and site coordination services for an Extra Space Storage facility in Pinellas, Florida. The 131,368-square-foot, ground-up conditioned building is four stories tall with a leasing office and sits on a 3.4-acre lot.

The shape of the site posed a challenge, as it curves along the north side. Additionally, specific zoning design standards had to be met due to the site’s location within a larger development. To maximize square footage and incorporate building articulations to break up the façade, the building footprint was placed along the northern edge. The team did an excellent job coordinating the jogging footprint and ensuring there were no conflicts between design disciplines or with the storage unit layout. As a result, we successfully maximized the building size on the site while meeting the covenants and design standards of the overall development.
