262 acres
Galloway is providing civil engineering and land survey services for Brixton Park, a 262-acre, single-family residential land development project located in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
The development will include approximately 830 lots designed in three phases. These lots vary in size from 6,000 sf to a half-acre, with quantities of each lot size reflecting the master development agreement between the client and the City. The lots are situated along the roads and grouped according to size and location, as the City and client required.
The development is against a mountainside and incorporates a debris basin. To mitigate the challenge of hillside development, our civil design team confirmed that maximum road grades were not exceeded and that the drainage system adequately conveyed runoff. Regional parks were strategically placed on the site to act as detention areas for stormwater runoff to meet the local stormwater management requirements.
Using the initial concept design provided by the planning architect, we created a new concept that better aligned the proposed roads with the contours of the site. The development will also connect two newly-planned major roads in the City–Mountain View Corridor and Foothill Boulevard.
Our team also designed wet utility networks to meet the development demands and requirements of the City. Our civil team conducted off-site sewer studies and worked with the city of Saratoga Springs to determine pressure zones and the placement of new water tanks to add more capacity to the system. The infrastructure designed for the first phase will support the entire development.
Galloway provided construction documents and reports to city engineers for review and approval. The City approved the first two phases and construction started in March 2023. The design for phase three is began in 2024.
