Meet Cayla Cappello

May 13th, 2022

Cayla Cappello joined the Galloway team as her first job out of college and has worked with us as a civil engineer for almost five years. She learned a lot about the industry and its technical and development aspects when she first started. Her professional development has grown throughout the years. She recently passed her PE exam, became a Civil Project Engineer, and is highly involved in Galloway’s Diversity and Inclusion and charity initiatives.

Her favorite project she has worked on is the Victory Ridge Development. This was one of the first projects she worked on when she started with Galloway. She has enjoyed witnessing the evolution of the project throughout the years, from vacant land to the growth of a community.

Cayla has been an advocate for women in STEM from a young age and initially was studying to become a doctor. She decided to switch to engineering, and her college mentor helped her figure out that civil engineering would be the best fit. Cayla always loved math and was drawn to civil engineering because of the involvement and interaction with clients and communities.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places with her boyfriend and dog, creating crafts, and portrait painting in oils.
