Two Galloway Employees Recognized as Zweig Group Rising Stars

Congratulations to Kristen Judish, PE, and Jessica Greenough, PE, on their recognition as Rising Stars by the Zweig Group, a national AEC consulting firm.

The 2024 Rising Stars in the AEC industry are celebrated for their exceptional technical capability, leadership, effective teaching and research, and public service.

Kristen and Jessica’s commitment at work and within the community has elevated each of them to members of our Associate program, a pathway for partnership at Galloway.

Kristen Judish is a 2024 Zweig Group Rising Star

Kristen’s journey with Galloway is marked by professional growth, leadership, and significant contributions to projects and teams. Since joining Galloway in 2014, she has demonstrated a dedication to excellence, leading to her promotion to Senior Associate in 2024. She played an integral role in the Leadership Development Committee, providing invaluable training to associates, and is active in the Retention Associate Committee.

Passionate about diversity and inclusion, Kristen helped form and currently leads Galloway’s women’s network (GROW) and served on the Galloway Diversity and Equity Initiative. She organizes annual events focused on women’s issues and advocated for the Galloway LGBTQ+ network (GPride). As a woman and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she strives to create a welcoming industry environment and regularly meets with leadership to incorporate diversity into company processes.

Kristen leads structural team efforts on over 15 projects for nine-plus clients, showcasing her multitasking abilities and attention to detail. She works on a range of projects, from small tire stores to multi-level storage buildings, enriching her role as a mentor.

Her commitment to community is evident through her receipt of the internal award for embodying the Gallo-value of “We Build Community.” With over nine years in the engineering industry and nearly two in construction, Kristen’s journey from construction field engineer to seasoned structural engineer is inspirational. She participates in organizations like Girls Inc., Amp the Cause, Food for Thought, Women in Construction Industry events, and Colorado School of Mines Society of Women Engineers (SWE) events, supporting various community initiatives and networking with future industry leaders.

Since joining Galloway in 2013, Jessica has exemplified client-centered excellence and technical expertise. Her genuine connection with clients, remembering personal details and advocating for their needs, ensures a seamless project experience. Jessica’s passion for transforming client visions into reality drives her dedication to meeting schedules and budgets.

Jessica thrives on complex projects involving grading, drainage, and innovative design. As part of Galloway’s urban stormwater team, she manages standards for drainage, erosion control, and SWPPP, ensuring adherence to the highest industry benchmarks. She also oversees WaterCAD standards and updates, translating technical complexities for her team and contributing to technical training.

Her multifaceted role includes assisting the marketing team with white papers and being a reliable resource for colleagues. Recognized for her leadership, Jessica has been invited to become an Associate, a pathway to ownership. Known as the “technical go-to” for clients, her exemplary service and technical skills foster trust, loyalty, and repeat business.

Jessica mentors elementary and middle school students through the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver. She leads a branch of the ACE Mentor Program of Colorado, introducing high school students to A-E-C careers, many of whom intern or work at Galloway. Jessica serves on the ACE associate board and received the SAME Pikes Peak Tudor Medal in 2017 for her leadership and support.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jessica created STEM take-home kits for students and continues to volunteer at Food for Thought and the Boys and Girls Club’s We Care holiday event.
