Galloway Gives Back

October 5th, 2023

The giving season has started, but Galloway gives year-round. Most recently, we attended another Food for Thought packing day. We helped pack a record number of 4,500 bags for over 70 schools in the Denver Metro Area.

For more than nine years, Galloway has been actively engaged with Food for Thought, an organization that resonates deeply with our core value of family culture. Their guiding principle, “They’re All Our Kids,” strongly aligns with our beliefs.

To support their mission, we send a dedicated team of volunteers to assist with packing PowerSacks once a month. This valuable contribution helps ensure that children and their families have enough food to sustain them over the weekend.

Aaron Johnston, civil engineering project manager and one of the leaders of Galloway’s “Galloway Gives” program, states, “An essential core ingredient needed to give back to our community is pure, unfiltered enthusiasm! Bringing the thus is contagious and can inspire, motivate, and lift others.”

The “thus’” is always brought to every volunteering event!

Food for Thought is one of 26 organizations we serve with donations and service hours to support local communities across Colorado, Utah, and California year-round. We also recently hosted our annual Associates Raffle, raising thousands of dollars for charity.

In 2022, more than half of our team members volunteered 1,040 hours, impacting more than 15,000 lives.

With three months of the year remaining, we look forward to our holiday-focused volunteering efforts, such as “We Care” with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and Salt Lake City and “Adopt a Family” with Family Tree.
