Galloway Architecture, Civil Engineering, Surveying Blog

Meet Blake Olson

March 4th, 2022

Blake has been with Galloway for about seven years and worked his way up from an Architectural Designer to his current position of Architectural Project Manager. He was always good at math and science from a young age, and his friends and family encouraged him to pursue architecture – despite none of them being in the industry. Blake took one CADD class in high school, where he created housing floor plans, and he was hooked on design.

He is passionate about using geometry to figure out space and being part of peoples’ lives by creating spaces and buildings that they use. Blake is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, old school architecture, and form follows function design. He has worked on a breadth of different projects with Galloway and is currently working with fitness clients, of which he enjoys the fast-paced nature.

Blake “lives and breathes Galloway” and heads Galloway’s Diversity and Inclusion initiative. He hopes to continue the growth of this initiative, his development with the company, and mentor his coworkers.

Blake was recently named as a Sr. Associate and thanks to the mentorship that Galloway and his coworkers provide for helping him grow in his career.

“It means the world to me. I worked my butt off to get here, and people put a lot of sweat in tears into helping me grow and be an asset to the company and myself as far as what I can do and provide. I am humbled to be part of it, especially this early in my career. “

He enjoys biking, hiking, playing basketball, listening to music, reading, and spending time with his girlfriend and dog in his free time.
