Bluffdale City’s population has doubled in the last decade, and the demand for services has strained the City’s existing municipal buildings. The City selected Galloway to complete a needs assessment and site studies, architectural design, interior design, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for the City’s final municipal services facility.
Galloway’s team worked collaboratively with City staff and the surrounding community to design a facility sensitive to the surrounding context, delivering services securely and supportively, while reducing the operational impact on surrounding residential properties.
The 35,000-sf facility supports essential community services, including public works administration, fleet vehicle storage, and maintenance. It features secure fuel storage, fleet parts and tire storage, an automatic car wash, and a large warehouse for inventory management. The streets department focuses on roadway maintenance, while facilities management oversees municipal building upkeep. The water department manages the City’s water supply, and the parks and recreation department coordinates community programs. Additionally, flexible training and meeting spaces are available for staff collaboration and development.
