Congratulations to Lisa Metzger, AIA, NCARB, Kyle Pollock, PE, and Aaron Johnston, PE, on their recognition as a Rising Star by the Zweig Group, a national AEC consulting firm.

The 2023 Rising Stars in the AEC industry are celebrated for their diverse skill sets, technical capabilities, and outstanding contributions to their communities.

Lisa, Kyle, and Aaron’s commitment at work and within the community have elevated all three of them to members of our Associate program, a pathway for partnership at Galloway.

Lisa Metzger is a Zweig Group 2023 Rising StarLisa Metzger

Lisa is a passionate, focused leader who seeks opportunities to support company growth and professional development. As an architectural project manager, Lisa repeatedly demonstrates why she is the future of Galloway through her strategic thinking, problem-solving, and ability to motivate others. Lisa has been influential in the success of Galloway’s use and knowledge of Revit, leading our internal seller-doer initiative and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.

As an enthusiastic supporter of women in the A/E industry, she also leads the professional development arm of Galloway’s women’s group. Within this group, she focuses on educational opportunities to close the professional skills gap between men and women in the industry. Her commitment to being an instrument of change is demonstrated through her high level of engagement at work and within the community.

Lisa is involved in several professional organizations and regularly attends events throughout the Denver Metro. She is an active member of NAIOP Colorado as vice chair of the DEI committee and the Developing Leaders committee member. She is also a member of CREW Denver, an associate and national member of SIOR, and a member of AIA Colorado.

In addition to the professional organizations, Lisa volunteers time to the Boys and Girls Club and Food for Thought, which seeks to eliminate childhood hunger.

Kyle Pollock is a Zweig Group 2023 Rising StarKyle Pollock

Since joining Galloway almost seven years ago, Kyle’s career has been on the fast track. Through his proactive and solution-oriented approach to project design and client relationships, his thoughtful guiding and mentoring of his team, and his leadership in giving back to the community, Kyle has firmly established himself as a leader at Galloway.

Despite being new to the business, Kyle rapidly grasped intricate design elements, found ways to streamline existing processes, and found his love for teaching and developing others. These early leadership roles quickly blossomed into Kyle becoming a project manager only five years into his career.

Kyle is passionate about improving himself, his team, and Galloway daily. He helps run a discipline-specific training program, creates time daily to develop and mentor staff, and even makes personalized birthday brownies for all team members. Recently, he took it upon himself to spearhead and design a QA/QC process with the land development team and implemented a new method for project management and workload tracking.

Kyle has led endeavors for Galloway to volunteer and sponsor fundraising events, such as providing Thanksgiving meals and Christmas gifts for those in the community that may go without otherwise, and has developed deep and ongoing relationships with organizations like KidsPak and the Loveland Housing Authority. Galloway even received a recognition award for the partnership and support of Loveland Housing Authority throughout the pandemic.

Outside of Galloway, Kyle mentors middle school, high school, and college students and leads community-building groups for families and young adults.

Kyle’s demonstrated leadership in excellent design and client management, care for and mentorship of staff, and drive to give back to the community attest to him being a Rising Star in the AEC industry.

Aaron Johnston is a Zweig Group 2023 Rising StarAaron Johnston

Aaron Johnston started his career as a young engineer at Galloway in 2015, and he has consistently demonstrated a level of professionalism that isn’t often seen. His incredible work ethic, technical knowledge, consideration for others, involvement in company activities, and professional attire in a generally casual work environment have supported his exceptional early career.

Aaron leads by example as a project manager, inspiring others to meet and exceed high standards. He demonstrates the importance of taking care of clients with his responsiveness and high-quality designs/plans. Aaron is a humble leader who empowers others to grow and learn and shows appreciation and gratitude.

Additionally, Aaron is passionate about giving back and has elevated Galloway’s volunteering and community outreach program called “Galloway Gives.” He helps lead Galloway Gives with a high level of enthusiasm and fun, so he is known for bringing the “thuse” to staff meetings by leading crowd chants supporting Galloway Gives initiatives. Aaron also leads Galloway’s volunteering partnerships with Food Bank of the Rockies and Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) and is a regular at Galloway’s charitable partner, Food for Thought.

In line with his knack for leadership, he serves on Colorado’s ICSC NextGen Committee as Secretary. The NextGen Committee is responsible for organizing multiple networking events for industry leaders who are under 40. He is also a member of ICSC – Innovating Commerce and Serving Communities.

Aaron leads by example and never expects more from others than from himself. Whether it be his commitment to exceptional project execution and client service or his ability to inspire others through his actions, Aaron is definitely a Rising Star at Galloway and within the AEC industry.
