SAME Awards Galloway Federal Team Seymour S. Greenfield Sustaining Member Award

Galloway was recently recognized as the recipient of the SAME Pikes Peak Post Seymour S. Greenfield Sustaining Member Award! We would like to recognize our federal team for meeting the comprehensive criteria needed in order to be nominated. The Seymour S. Greenfield Sustaining Member Award is awarded to companies who have been a member of two or more SAME posts for the previous five years and have maintained leadership positions within the organization, supported youth and community outreach activities, and sponsored SAME publications and conferences.

Becoming more involved in SAME over the last five years has organically led to more opportunities and responsibility within the Pikes Peak Post, which includes team members serving on the board of directors as the STEM Coordinator, as well as holding positions in the Young Members committee. This entailed overseeing the Post’s STEM programs to include Boy Scout initiatives, Women in STEM Day and the USAFA Engineering Camp, in addition to participating in the planning committees for each of these events.

Galloway has also taken the initiative to expand our community outreach efforts through SAME, including becoming heavily involved in the Boy Scouts Merit Engineering Badge program, sponsoring the Pikes Peak Golf Tournament which contributes to college sponsorships, and participating in the Angel Tree event which purchases gifts for children of Wounded Warriors.

We are also actively sponsoring several conferences, including the JETC, Small Business Conference and the USAFA Cadet Dinner.

Our involvement in SAME has been not only beneficial for strengthening our relationships to the public sector, but for making us a more well-rounded organization. Congratulations to our federal team for this achievement!
