Galloway was the engineer of record on this project that replaced a roughly 60-year-old, 30-foot wide bridge over the Hillsborough Ditch in Johnstown, Colorado.
Our design widened travel lanes for pedestrians and vehicles to provide safer traffic movements at this intersection. The replacement culvert crossing accommodated a major two-lane collector, sidewalks, parapet walls, and hand/guard rails. The replacement structure includes a reinforced concrete box culvert that conforms to CDOT standards. The existing irrigation headgate and associated measurement structure were relocated upstream.
