Engineers Week 2024: Embracing the Future of Engineering

February 19th, 2024

Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1951, National Engineers Week is dedicated to encouraging a diverse, well-educated future workforce by increasing awareness and interest in engineering and technology careers. This year, from February 18 to 24, we embark on a journey with the theme “Welcome to the Future!” – an invitation to celebrate today’s achievements and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow in engineering.

At its core, Engineers Week aims to foster a diverse, well-educated workforce, recognizing the pivotal role engineers play in shaping our world and inspiring the next National Engineers Week 2004generation of problem-solvers. This year’s theme resonates deeply with Galloway’s values, particularly our commitment to recognizing the strength and inherent value of diversity in our people and our work.

From our beginnings in fueling system design and civil engineering, Galloway has evolved to meet the dynamic needs of our clients. We have expanded our capabilities to include additional engineering disciplines such as structural, MEP, and traffic engineering, enriching our projects with diverse knowledge and skill sets. Engineering is constantly evolving, and at Galloway, we embrace that change.

We recognize that creating a more inclusive engineering community starts with us. Today, 27% of our engineering team is women, surpassing the industry average of 17%, according to the Society of Women Engineers. Through Galloway’s diversity and inclusion initiatives, we have made significant strides in enhancing the representation of women and people of color in our workforce over the years.
