STEM Day for Youth
On Saturday, April 23, The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Pikes Peak Post and the U.S. Air Force Academy hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Day for Youth. Galloway team members were privileged to join them.
It is a day loaded with activities for students to have fun and learn about science, technology, and engineering. The stations included shooting lasers, catapulting, building and launching a rocket, and breaking concrete, steel, and other engineering materials.
The Pikes Peak Post of SAME focuses on networking and community involvement, emphasizing collaboration between the public and private sectors. It also supports the professional and personal development of its members
