Utah Valley Dispatch Special Service District is a 911 communications and dispatch service in Spanish Fork, Utah, that answers emergency calls for police, fire, and medical needs, serving 19 municipalities and unincorporated areas in Utah County. Galloway provided the architectural design, interior design, and landscape architecture services for the new centralized E911 communications center.

Having outgrown the dispatch services location within the Utah County Justice Center, the District selected Galloway to design a new facility that provided a supportive environment for dispatchers and design considerations and flexibility to accommodate current and future technology needs. We collaborated with the Utah Valley Dispatch Special Service District administration, staff representatives, and the operation board through several design workshops throughout the design process to ensure that the design met the departments’ goals.

The 12,600 sf secure-access facility includes 23 E911 call receiving and dispatch stations, an emergency operations center, flexible training and lab facilities, district administration offices, risk mitigation features, power generation and uninterruptible power supplies (ups) systems, redundant mechanical and communication systems, secure IT and radio communications, and an 80-foot communication tower.
