When the State of Utah needed to relocate and consolidate locations of the Driver License Division (DLD) and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), they engaged Galloway to provide architectural design, interior design, and landscape architecture services for the new facilities in Draper, Utah. Our team successfully designed a facility that combined these two high-public-volume departments under one roof, complete with a common lobby and support spaces, delivering a solution that met the state’s needs.
Our team planned the configuration of parking, a facility, and a CDL driving range on a sloping site. The traffic flow of large and small vehicles was a critical consideration in the site’s organization. We also strategically implemented a drive-through transaction area on the DMVs side of the facility.
