Catherine Gaboian, AIA, NCARB, provides 32 years of architectural experience.
Prior to joining Galloway, Caty was an Associate Vice President for Retail and was responsible for the management and planning of construction documents for the Restaurant Division of Retail Studio, with projects throughout the United States. She developed and oversaw prototypical facilities for branding innovation and facility design for corporate national accounts. This includes all roll-out re-image, remodels, and new store programs.
Caty also served three years as a Senior Project Manager in San Diego, CA in the Restaurant Division. She was responsible for the management and planning of construction documents for the quick service restaurants. She also developed prototypical facilities for branding innovation and facility design for all corporate national accounts.
Caty served 10 years at Jack in the Box, Inc. Corporate Headquarters in San Diego, CA. as Manager of the Architecture and Engineering Department in their restaurant development division. In her role as manager of the department she: Developed and released remodel, conversion, and new development branding concept projects; provided specific design and technical input to company and franchise teams to ensure brand image and ADA compliance. Provided technical expertise in development kitchen designs, building plans and layouts to support all branding concepts. Managed department processes and practices to ensure that programs were aligned with the company goals and objectives. Involved in strategic planning for the division within the corporate headquarters.
Prior to her career in Jack in the Box, Caty worked for several local firms in San Diego, including Mosher Drew Watson and Fergusen, Dominey and Associates, and Schuss Clark and Associates. She provided design and construction document development services for projects ranging from preschools, residential single family dwelling units, religious facilities, and other restaurant establishments.
Caty earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture and design from Kansas State University in 1990. Caty resides in the Maize area of Wichita, KS.
