Galloway Architecture, Civil Engineering, Surveying Blog

Welcome, August New Hires!

August 29th, 2019

Galloway has a lot of new faces this August! We’d like to introduce our newest employees and welcome them to the Galloway team.

Yamina Alfaro

Yamina is an architectural job captain with five years of experience in the industry. She has architectural and interiors experience designing industrial and commercial projects. Believe it or not…Revit is what excites her most about her job! Another exciting fact is that Yamina survived a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.

Tony Celano

Tony is an architectural designer and a recent graduate of CU Boulder. He has firm experience with BIM modeling in multifamily, residential, healthcare and tenant improvement projects. He is excited to work with Galloway’s many different discipline teams to consider the multi-faceted questions asked of building architects and to find beautiful, considerate and purposeful solutions.

Tony is a very multifaceted individual with interests and hobbies including storm chasing, growing bonsai trees, Catholic theology, pipemaking, model-making and soccer.

Jessica Chicas

Jessica is excited to bring her 16 years of architectural experience to her new role as an architectural designer at Galloway. She has worked on retail projects for the majority of her career, with additional experience in corporate and residential remodel projects. Jessica enjoys the problem-solving aspect of her work.

Jessica’s favorite things include the Broncos, really hot salsa, dancing, art and cats. She is bilingual in Spanish.

Natalie Haber

Natalie is a civil design engineer and a recent graduate from the Colorado School of Mines, where she majored in civil engineering. She has experience in retail and commercial projects from her previous summer internship, which happened to be at Galloway! A fun fact about Natalie is that she has never broken a bone.

Patrick O’Keeffe

Patrick is a landscape architectural designer with over three years of experience in the industry. He has experience working on a wide variety of projects ranging from NFL training facilities to state campgrounds, and everything in between. Patrick loves coming to work every day because of the team camaraderie, both within the Landscape Architecture group, and Galloway as a whole. He says that the people are fun, knowledgeable, and always more than willing to provide input and positivity.

Something cool about Patrick: he competed in an international snow sculpture competition in Winnipeg, Canada during his third year of school alongside professional sculptors from South America, North America, Europe and Australia.

Dylan Petersen

Dylan is a fueling systems design engineer with just over a year of experience in the industry. He has experience with fuel storage and distribution systems, pipeline systems, and tank repairs and upgrades for branches of the military, major airlines and oil companies. The thing that excites him the most about his work is that no two projects are exactly alike, so every week feels different than the last. When asked about an interesting fact, he shared that he’s had an osteotomy surgery that changed his facial structure.

Zak Stone

Zak is a civil project engineer with five years of experience as a consultant. He recently relocated from southwest Florida where he gained experience with residential and commercial land development, transportation, and utility projects. Zak is excited to join Galloway and looks forward to working with the multidisciplinary team.

During college, Zak worked as a skydiving instructor and has over 1,500 jumps!

Reece Jones

Reece is Galloway’s newest mechanical design intern! He is currently studying mechanical engineering at CU Boulder, where he has experience performing independent research in the fluid mechanics department, as working on design projects in the engineering department.

During the winter, Reece is a lead snowboard instructor for visually impaired and cognitively disabled students at the Eldora Mountain Resort.
