Galloway Survey Team Reports Back From PIG Tracking With Scenic Views
Our survey team is currently traversing through Utah and Wyoming for another Pipeline Inspection Gauge (PIG) tracking project.
Galloway’s certified pipeline locators provide pre-inspection pipeline surveying and mapping services. There are many types of PIGs used to maintain the health and integrity of transmission pipelines, and a PIG tracker monitors the location of the tool in the pipe at all times during an inspection run.
Gas transmission lines are routed in as straight a line as possible, often in remote areas that are difficult to reach, running over mountains, through corn fields, across swamps and under busy highways.
