Founded in Sweden over 50 years ago, Fjallraven outdoor stores can be found worldwide. Concentrating on bringing the outdoors inside, their latest Flagship store opened on September 29, 2016, on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, CO.
Galloway worked with Fjallraven’s construction and marketing team on the design of the space, creating a unique shopping experience through a layout that lends itself to large display areas, unique focal pieces, and a comfortable seating area.
The design includes natural material selections, such as a wood-planked raised plat-form, polished concrete floor, a birch tree focal point installation, and exposed brick wall treatments.
The suspended wood ceiling trellis runs the length of the space, drawing in and guiding the customer to specialty fixtures such as the one-of-a-kind customer service counter and the Waxing Station in the middle of the store.
Overall, the Fjallraven store design is a perfect backdrop for displaying their colorful and functional outdoor gear.
